This tester is mainly used to measure hardness of metal materials (casting, forging, nonferrous metals) and can measure even on the surface of non-uniform specimens. To measure Brinell hardness, the load specified in the measuring ball is press-fitted into the surface of the test piece, and the surface area is measured with a measuring magnifying glass to indicate the value divided by the load as Brinell hardness. In addition, the method of applying the load is divided into manual hydraulic type and electric hydraulic type, and in the case of electric type, the load is automatically set when the operation switch is operated, and it is manufactured in a structure that automatically returns after the set test time has elapsed.
